WAP - Wireless Application Protocol

WAP is a data service that allows compatible handsets to browse the WAP Internet. As mobile phone screens tend to be small and the service is slow, it is normally purely a text service. GPRS has greatly enhanced the uses of WAP. The increased access speeds has greatly improved the use of WAP.
