Unique to use
But though there are a lot of new features in the Nokia 8850 GSM Mobile
Phone, we never develop new technology for its own sake, but in order
to make it easier for you to communicate.
Just call out a name, and the Nokia 8850 mobile phone places the call
for you. You can save 8 names in the Nokia 8850 to be activated for
voice dialing. Once the name and number are saved, you activate voice
dialing with a long press on the "names" key. Say a name and the Nokia
8850 starts dialing, confirming your choice by repeating it and showing
the name and number on the display.
With the Nokia 8850 you can include pictures in your short
messages. There are several default designs already installed
in the Nokia 8850, all of which are replaceable.
Predictive text input makes it fast and easy to write messages
on the keypad of the Nokia 8850. The phone contains a built-in
dictionary, with support for over ten major European languages.
Each time you press a key the Nokia 8850 compares the word
you have written so far with the words in the database and
selects the most likely word. So you can write by pressing
one key per letter, instead of two or three as with an ordinary
keypad. If there are several possible words, you choose a
new one by pressing the star key. You can input new words
and names into the database.
The Nokia 8850 mobile phone has an infrared link for wireless
communication with a compatible Nokia phone or a compatible
PC or printer. And the Nokia 8850 mobile phone supports standard
communications protocols. You can transfer, e.g. phone numbers
with the infrared link between compatible phones. You can
download new phone numbers and ringing tones over the air.
And the Nokia 8850 has a TTML browser, so you can receive
new menu items to your phone making it easy to access services
from the operator.
Premium in every detail
A watch is not just for telling you what time it is. And a car is not
just for taking you from one place to another.
You have a mobile phone, but not simply so you can make a call. A watch,
an automobile and a mobile phone are utilitarian objects, but they can
also be beautifully designed and carefully made, objects with esthetic
appeal.
The difference is quality, something that is very difficult to define.
In part it's the design, elegantly simple, with a pleasing visual rhythm.
And the materials, like chrome and brushed aluminum. And the craftsmanship
and the fine details. Quality is a difficult thing to define, but you
know it when you see it.
You know what you like
Know yourself. This wisdom, going back to Socrates, is equally
relevant today. You know yourself and you know what you like.
You like genuine materials and the latest technology. You
like things that are well designed and well made. They don't
have to be flashy, but they have to be quality.
If you know yourself, you already know if the Nokia 8850 GSM
mobile phone is the phone for you.
