Well what can I say, I ordered my P800 on Tuesday the 14th, Mphone had it in stock on the 16th like they said they would, They posted it out and I now have it in my hands on the 17th. The service is great, they keep you informed and the price was the best around, and the best thing is when they say they will have it in stock by a certain date they will. Unlike some companies which give a time scale but is most likely always 2 weeks out.

Thanks for an excellent customer service and an astonishingly smooth and speedy delivery. The only hickup in the purchase process was that you only provide one address field, and it is not clear wether this is the delivery or billing address until you get to the last page, after which you can't go back. See the apple website for a good solution to this.

Having said this, your customer service solved the problem very quickly and clearly.

I would like to thank Mphone and their staff for their friendly and considering approach to business. I am currently at home recovering from surgery and they made the process of ordering a P800 import as simple as possible. From dealing promptly and courteously with my initial enquiry to the friendly contact with their staff. With ordering online, sometimes it can feel very impersonal, but with Mphone that is not the case. I ordered my P800 on a Weds, after payment had been processed,it was dispatched on a Friday and arrived to me safely on the Monday morning. Having dealt with mPhone before I had no qualms about using you again. You're service and the range of sim free phones on offer is top notch. However, as you use the royal mail, I have to drop you a couple of points. after receiving my email saying my order had been shipped, I check the royal mail site, to see when my phone would be delivered, it said Thursday by 12 noon. Being Tuesday I thought this was more than adequate. however my phone didn't turn up, and I spent 4 days chasing it down. the royal mail tracking page, changed to the disconcertingly vague, you're parcel is progressing through our network, and whenever I contacted anyone, I was told to speak someone else. It wouldn't have been a problem but I had to arrange for someone to be at my home, as I'm out at work. So I when they said Thursday, that's what I expected. eventually someone from royal mail customer services, who don't have email, (even though they have a website and online tracking system!), said they'd be looking into it. They then did nothing, and wrote me a letter after my phone had been delivered, saying we are pleased to inform you, your parcel has been delivered! The royal mail in this part of the country is notorious for poor service, first class letters marked urgent, taking two months to arrive (I'm not joking), So perhaps Mphone could provide an alternative courier if customers are willing to pay for it. I wouldn't mind, at least I know with city link and securicor that parcels arrive when they say they will.

I realise none of the above can be directly blamed on mPhone, but an alternative shipping method would be helpful for people with the same problem as me.

As for the phone itself, There are a few bugbears with it, The screen is very dark when displaying pictures, and the pictures themselves seem very grainy unless you use only a few bright colours in your pics, so bear that in mind. the java apps work well, I've only downloaded a couple so far but they work fine. the multimedia messaging could be better, although nokia insist this an MMS enabled phone, you can't send ringtones to other people, only pictures. the sound quality is better than my 3510 on the polyphonic ringtones. and the screen is much easier to read as it's black on white for text. there are several colour schemes available, red, green, blue and violet, these are for text in menu's etc. the screensaver is now only the time, rather than the time and date as in the 3510 but no great problem. The phone has a largish memory for tones, pictures and java applications, but the memory for text messaging is a lot smaller than the 3510. funny upgrade! The 3510i will hold around 50 text messages, and this is my main gripe with the phone, every time you send a text it saves a copy in the sent folder, and when that fills up you keep getting memory nearly full messages, even if you've set the sent folder to overwrite messages, and there's no option to automatically empty the sent items folder or not use it at all. the phone did lock-up once after only being used for 3 hours but it's been ok since, and that seems to be a trait with nokia's anyway.

Having said that if you're looking for a nice phone with lots of useful features, a colour screen, java, wap and polyphonic ringtones, then for the price which was 175 approx inc p&p then you could do a lot worse than the 3510i, I'm sure I'll get use to some of the more annoying features with time, and if not I'll send nokia another email telling them what they're doing wrong.

In conclusion I am more than happy to recommend mPhone to anyone buying a phone, and do indeed tell my friends where to go when looking for a new phone. The prices for sim free phones rival and sometimes beat network operators "pay as you go " packages. which can't be bad!

I would highly recommend Mphone. I was after a sim free Nokia 3510i, after visiting all major high street retailers I got a mixed response from half of them not even knowing the phone existed to those who did know about it, not knowing when they would have it available for purchase.

An internet search later I found Mphone, I ordered my phone on Thursday 2nd Jan and was very surprised to have it delivered to my doorstep 2 days later. An outstanding service considering the time of year, and one which will see me coming back to Mphone in the future.
